Building Up Successful Youth


PURPOSE

Change the trajectory of individuals who are statistically vulnerable, marginalized, or negatively impacted by trauma, poverty, or crisis through the “Impact by Exposure Approach.”



PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • Develop strong, positive relationships with the communities where program is being implemented​

  • Expose youth to college experiences & education opportunities through college visits​

  • Assist youth in developing a plan of action for next level development ​

  • Create positive relationships between local colleges & educational facilities and at-risk and/or opportunity youth (especially at-risk youth)​

  • Provide positive experiences that make the transition to next-level education less stressful and intimidating​

  • Raise awareness & highlight expectations for college atmospheres​

  • Provide motivation & direction through strategic, intentional phases ​

  • Connect students with community leaders who will serve as mentors throughout their time in college/trade school​

B.U.S.Y. is an expansion of our initiatives targeting economically disadvantaged youth populations.


Our teams assist the work of local school systems to reach at-risk adolescents, provide them with support as they transition into adulthood, and create connections to the tools, resources, and relationships necessary for advancement.


We develop At-Risk and Opportunity Youth by enhancing their self-esteem through self-discovery and self-determination, and by offering unconventional pathways into the workforce.
